This poem is the product of my deep longing for the sea back at home.
Deep Into the Unknown
White frothy waves
Crash to the shore,
Coaxing me to wade
Into turquoise waters.
Millions of memories
Stretch across the wake,
Like stars that twinkle
Across the Milky Way.
Cool breeze caress
My weary soul,
As I trudge closer
To my goal.
Filling my lungs
With one last breath,
As I fearlessly dive
Deep into the unknown.
